Insurance fraud proving to be lucrative for criminals

According to US authorities insurance fraud perpetrated on the US government’s Medicare system cost between $60 to $90 billion a year. And of this total, Miami accounts for about $3 billion annually. This just goes to show that insurance fraud is turning out to be quite a lucrative but illegal money making venture. In fact, authorities have also reported that its lucrativeness has not escaped the attention of the mob and they are now getting in on the action too.

Reports say that medical fraud criminals are always finding new ways of squeezing more money from the US government’s health care system. This is a very sad state of affairs and the government should do something to combat this as soon as possible.
